Candidate Statement
I am a lifelong Bronx resident who grew up in public housing, a mother of two young boys, and someone who knows the challenges of working families. I have worked in public service helping my neighbors connect their power to their voice. My lived and work experiences have led me to build lasting coalitions. As District Manager I know what affects our day to day life, how communities like mine have been starved from much-needed resources and opportunity to excel in employment, quality housing, educational attainment and access to quality healthcare. I am running for office to bring the type of fierce and unrelenting leadership we need because our lives are at stake and we cannot afford to delay or elect someone who has to learn this process on the job.
