Candidate Statement
I am a father, public school special education teacher, Democratic District Leader, and Chair of Bronx Community Board 8’s Aging Committee. I was born and raised in the Northwest Bronx, and my wife and I are raising our twin boys here, alongside the neighbors I’ve dedicated my career to helping. My vision for our district is to bring the vital resources and policies needed to improve the lives of our most vulnerable, including children, working families, seniors, and people with disabilities. My work at the City Council will reflect the work I’ve done in the community. As a special education teacher, I see that the needs of our children extend beyond the walls of a classroom. I will work to provide the social services they and their families need and to put an end to food and housing insecurity. I will fight to protect our working families, ensuring they earn livable wages to live in comfort, pay rent, and put food on the table. I have always stood up for workers as a union leader for the UFT and as a District Leader, rallying for job security throughout the district. I am running to be your voice at City Hall
