Candidate Statement
I am a husband, father and grandfather. A proud homeowner in the Wakefield section of District 11 for almost 25 years. I received my Deaconship, at Walker Memorial Baptist Church located in the Bronx NY.
I am a member of several organizations that fight to protect and preserve quality of human and civil rights of all people. As an Executive Board Member of Discovery For Justice, we repealed and replaced the NYS Criminal Procedure Law 240, demanding prosecutors to produce evidence in a timely manner when a person is arrested and charged with a crime. I participated in the Repeal of NYPD 50A, allowing a police officer's disciplinary record to be be known to the public.
If elected to City Council, I will continue to fight for criminal justice reform police reform and all other injustices within the system to improve the quality of life for all people regardless of race, religion, gender, age or disability.
