1. What is the most important issue in Council District 21 you would address if elected?

The most pressing needs facing the 21st District include lack of affordable housing and responsible development that benefits the community. Any development in the district should include guarantees that a percentage of all new housing units will be offered at affordable rates for working families as well as job training and employment opportunities for local residents.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

Other issues include the treatment of our seniors, supporting working families and protecting local businesses. I will continue to ensure that our senior citizens are provided quality services and well-run senior centers. I will also support our working families by funding child care programs and providing affordable, community-based solutions for health care. Local and minority-owned businesses are the lifeblood of our city, we need programs that support them.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

As a lifelong resident of the district, I have worked tirelessly to bring communities together and to bring resources to our community. We need experienced voice fighting for our neighborhoods in City Hall. I am that voice and will continue to advocate for the residents of the 21st Council District and throughout NYC.
