1. What is the most important issue in Council District 19 you would address if elected?

Strong leadership will unite our neighborhoods as we develop sound budgetary goals together. The lack of accountability, ethics and sound budgetary policy has created a void in our trust of the political process. City Hall is detached from the current economic crisis and must realize how difficult it is to survive these troubling times. My family and campaign have always been proponents of positive politics, and I am proud to continue that relationship with our community through this difficult time.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

I will focus on public safety and preserve our quality of life by increasing police presence and protecting our homes from overdevelopment. The changes planned for College Pt require prompt attention including relocation of businesses; preserving Flushing Airport; carefully integrating the Police Academy into the community; reducing traffic congestion; and protecting our wetlands.

I will continue my fight for the removal and restriction of cell phone towers in residential areas, maintain and improve our school system and restore the beauty of our parks, playgrounds and sporting fields in our District. We must stop the increase of real estate taxes by reducing assessments to reflect the true value of our properties. Any issue that impacts our quality of life will be a top priority.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

I'm humbled by all the blessings God gave me. I'm the luckiest husband and proudest father in the world. For three generations, my family has been dedicated to community service with integrity and honor. I'll build on that trust as I strive to bring people together and continue the tradition of leadership our community deserves. It's been my passion and dream to be a NYC Council Member, and it's time to start living my dream.
