Candidate Statement
Last year, I became the first woman to chair the House Committee on Oversight & Reform. One of my first actions was impeaching Donald Trump. Since then, I’ve continued holding him accountable on issues from his financial records to his handling of COVID-19. I’ve also held hearings on women’s rights, paid family leave, immigration, healthcare, lowering drug prices, and more.
After I led an 18-year fight, we also finally won the battle for full health care & compensation for our 9/11 heroes. I’ll fight just as hard for those affected by COVID-19, & for single payer Medicare for All.
And as a lifelong fighter for the environment, I know we must confront the climate crisis. That’s why I’m an original co-sponsor on the Green New Deal.
