Candidate Statement

Cities are our best weapon against economic inequality, racial injustice, and climate disaster but they are afterthoughts in national politics and federal policy. I will center cities and the people who live in them in the Congress. I helped work on the Homes Guarantee because I have faced eviction and became a housing organizer and policy writer. I’m proud to be named after my grandfather who was an NYC subway motorman and to be the first federal candidate to introduce a plan to make all public transit 100% free, accessible, and green. I’m a former bartender, startup co-founder, and rank and file union member at CUNY who is fighting for families, workers, and small businesses to create a new economy of care.
