Candidate Statement

I was born in Peru and immigrated to NYC as an infant. I grew up in Sunset Park as an undocumented child. After living in my apartment for 30 years, my neighbors and I were evicted. I saw first hand how working people have to struggle while the 1% remain wealthy. This inspired me to get involved in the housing movement and become a tenant organizer . I refuse all money from real estate developers and corporations, so when elected, I will only be accountable to working people. As your Assemblymember, I will fight to ensure that everyone has access to quality healthcare, housing is considered a human right and immigrants are treated with dignity and respect. On June 23rd, join our movement, and put people before politics.
