Candidate Statement

I am running for re-election on the basis of my strong record of accomplishments and my ability to lead in time of crisis. I fight against injustices and inequalities. My leadership improves public policies, keeps our government transparent, protects rights of workers, tenants, women, children, the LGBTQ+ community, immigrants, disabled and our environment. I challenge the status quo; I think ahead of the curve and my progressive legislation is duplicated across the country. I will continue to fight for my community, to increase jobs, improve renewable energy and most importantly pass New York’s Health Care for All.
