The candidates listed below were known at the time the print version of the Voter Guide went to press to be running in the general election for City Council. Please remember that this Guide contains information only about candidates for City Council. Candidates for other offices do not appear in this Guide.

The information and photographs on these pages were submitted to the Campaign Finance Board by the candidates, who have signed sworn statements that the information in their statements is true to the best of their knowledge.

The information is presented here as prepared by the candidates. The Board does not edit information except to correct obvious spelling and typographical errors. The Board cuts any statement that is longer than the 350-word limit to meet space requirements for all language editions of the Guide.

ºAt press time, the Green Party nomination was in dispute. The New York City Board of Elections subsequently decided that no candidate in Council District 50 was entitled to the Green Party nomination. Since Richard Smith sought only the Green Party nomination, he will not appear on the ballot.
