1. What is the most important issue in Council District 50 you would address if elected?

My main focus would be to ensure that Staten Islanders receive their fair share of services from city government. Year after year, our borough is shortchanged and our residents are the ones who have to deal with the consequences. From limited transportation options and deteriorating roads to overcrowded classrooms and insufficient health facilities, Staten Island always comes last. I will work to reverse that.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

If elected, I will defend our small businesses against punitive city fines and burdensome taxes, advocate for residents still suffering from Hurricane Sandy, work towards a more efficient education system by investing in our schools, push to increase services for those suffering from prescription drug abuse and for our fair share of health funding.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

As someone who was born and raised in the Mid-Island, I know the issues my neighbors face on a daily basis. It's where I went to school, owned and operated a small business and served as an Auxiliary Police Officer. After working nearly a decade in local government getting results, I have the unique advantage to affect positive change for the Mid-Island in the New York City Council. I love my community, and it would be an honor to represent the hard working people of the 50th Council District.
