1. What is the most important issue in Council District 47 you would address if elected?

Bringing federal recovery dollars to Sandy ravaged homes and businesses in Coney Island and Sea Gate, while opposing the proposed garbage dump in Gravesend Bay that will leave our community vulnerable in future storms. Investment in local infrastructure is desperately needed.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

Public transportation, taking schools exclusive focus away from testing, creating a vocational training district, and helping students develop the skills they need to succeed in college and beyond.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

As an educator, aide to an elected official, and community organizer, I've dedicated the last decade to building active and engaged coalitions to solve neighborhood problems and bring people together. I worked with the community to remove a troubled administration at Lafayette High School to improve student safety, led the effort to restore B-64 bus service between Coney Island and Bensonhurst, and formed a coalition to fight the proposed Gravesend Bay Garbage Dump.
