1. What is the most important issue in Council District 49 you would address if elected?

Staten Island and particularly the North Shore are being ignored. We need new and dynamic leadership that will finally say enough and bring the transportation, health, and educational infrastructure that we deserve.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

I'm both a former President of Community Education Council 31 and a parent of two children educated at Mariners Harbor public schools. As your city councilman I'll work with teacher and parents and community to fight uncaring bureaucrats and no bid contracts.

As the Chair of the Transportation Committee of Community Board #1 I recommended building Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), expanding rail service, and redesigning the S.I Expressway. As a city councilman with civil engineering experience I'll know what needs to be done.

Staten Island needs it's fair share of public health funding and just like every other borough our own city hospital.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

I am a labor leader who understands the needs of business. A middle class tax payer who uses public transportation and public schools. A civil engineer who knows how to build things. A community leader who does more than simply sit and talk but actually makes real change. As your city councilman there is even more I'll be able to do to serve the community.
