1. What is the most important issue in Council District 31 you would address if elected?

LOU GRAYS SAYS: The most important issue is improving our schools. Half of the children who enter our high schools do not graduate. Sufficient funds must be allocated, schools for sports music and after school programs for additional educational instruction. Parents should have a dominant role in educational decision making. BLOOMBERG MUST GO!!

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

LOU GRAYS SAYS: There should be a moratorium on foreclosures. As an A.C.O.R.N. BOARD MEMBER, I have defended homeowners at their homes and in the courts to stop the banks from taking their homes. I would fix zoning problems. The current zoning laws allow for the construction of multiple dwellings, Mcmansions and HOTSHEET MOTELS. This construction is destroying our community. Its time we all get our heads out of the "SAND" AND CHANGE OUR ZONING LAWS. BLOOMBERG MUST GO NOW!

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

LOU GRAYS taught our kids for almost twenty six years as your high school teacher. LOU GRAYS WILL secure the economic stimulus money from President Obama and use it to improve our community LOU GRAYS will create the change that we need. My son, RAHEEM GRAYS was murdered last year on Farmers Blvd in his place of business, in his barbershop during an armed robbery; I will be serious regarding employment for our community in order to prevent senseless crimes due to desperate economic conditions. I am a member of the Jamaica MWBE community board 12 advisory board. We meet to monitor and advise community board 12 regarding new construction, development of businesses and other enterprises in our community. LOU GRAYS will bring new jobs better businesses to our community. Barack says its time for change; eight years is enough. OUR COUNCILMAN HAS VOTED FOR BLOOMBERG's extension and against the people. It is time for change now.
