While in the New York City Council former Councilman Allan Jennings secured $7.5 million dollars for laptop computers for every child in the 3rd, 4th, & 5th grades in his district. The schools which received these computers where PS48, PS96, PS 223, PS30, PS160, PS123, PS50, PS80, PS121, PS45, PS155 & PS40 (grades 1-6).
Former Councilman Jennings also funded many After-School programs such as a math program at PS160 & PS55, an athletic program at PS48 & PS121 and a sport & art program at PS124.
Former Councilman Jennings also funded August Martin High School with a grant for their Culinary Program & gave $85,000 of College Scholarships of $500 each to 170 students at August Martin & Richmond Hill High Schools.
Former Councilman Jennings also took great care of our SENIORS. He funded every senior center and personally visited seniors on their birthday's giving them birthday cards & movie gift certificates.
He also Co-Sponsored & Passed into law many bills such as INTRO 142 Prohibiting the use of racial & ethic profiling.
ALLAN JENNINGS is a hard worker. While he was in the City Council his district office was open from 9:00am-7:00pm. Everybody knows he always returned your phone calls and personally sent you a letter. If you had a problem you could always count on Allan Jennings to do his best to help you.
We need Allan Jennings back! To be our full-time Councilman and give us the representation and service we deserve.
