1. What is the most important issue in Council District 3 you would address if elected?

The "out of control" mega-development of the past nine years has failed the people of our community. The unchecked development and spot rezonings are devoid of any long term planning based upon a thorough study of our community's infrastructure needs. This has resulted in a lack of affordable housing and a school crisis where there is overcrowding and no placement for children in their local schools. In the current fiscal climate, these issues can be resolved through a private/public partnership approach where developers incorporate more affordable housing, public green space and schools into their projects.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

1. Fundamental democratic rights and issues: Vehemently oppose the extension of term limits without a public referendum. Support same-sex marriage and pro-equality legislation for the LGBT community.

2. Restore meals, programs and activities to Seniors that have been cut from the budget.

3. Support the Small Business Survival Act.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

I am running because we need a full-time Councilwoman to address the serious needs of our community. I have the education (law degree and MPA), experience (twenty-five years practicing law in the community; Community Board 2 member for six years, two of which I served as Chair) and commitment (founding member of the Greenwich Village - Chelsea Chamber of Commerce) to a district where I was born and raised. As your Councilwoman, I will be a 24/7 representative for you.
