1. What is the most important issue in Council District 2 you would address if elected?

My number one issue is ensuring that all residents district-wide receive the support they need from the City. I believe that we need a Councilman who will unify our district. And everyday, I will work to improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods. But don’t take my word for it. Take a look at my track record.

Since I announced my candidacy, I have provided books to start a library at a local elementary school; collected emergency cell phones for seniors; distributed free tax preparation coupons for low-income families; developed a small business guide for local entrepreneurs; raised money to fight HIV/AIDS; collected clothes for domestic violence victims; produced a legal benefits guidebook for LGBT families; and organized financial literacy programs for teenagers and seniors.

My campaign is community-focused, service-driven, and action-oriented. And that’s just the kind of Councilman I’ll be.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

I will focus on improving education, keeping seniors safe, controlling the price of prescription drugs, and crafting a real housing policy that protects renters and creates home-ownership opportunities. I am also committed to developing an early childhood education program that ensures all children are on equal footing by the first grade.

And I am committed to solving the problems that affect our quality of life, including issues like late-night noise, garbage collection, and park and garden maintenance.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

I am dedicated to community service. Over the past months, I have run a different type of campaign. Instead just asking for your vote, I have worked to improve our community. To read more about my campaign, visit www.gurforcitycouncil.com
