1. What is the most important issue in Council District 2 you would address if elected?

The growing disparity between rich and poor.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

The district is at a critical point in its history. I will fight to protect its rich diversity. I will do this by working to preserve low and moderate income housing. I will also fight for more funding for better schools. Most importantly of all, I will work to provide economic opportunity for everyone in this district. I will do this by making sure that city contracts and city jobs are given to city residents. I will also make sure that I am available to all my constituents to meet their needs however large or small.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

I am the only candidate who not only has strong ties to the district but also has experience in both the public sector and the private sector. Having worked in government I can effectively provide the best city services for the district. Having worked in the private sector I can effectively negotiate public finance and development issues to meet the needs of everyone living in the district, no matter what their income. I will also be an effective advocate on behalf of District Two, making sure that District Two’s funding and community needs come first in City Hall.
