Candidate Statement

Service, listening to all voices in our diverse district. As one of very few working moms in the NYS assembly, I led the successful fight to expand NYS Paid Family and Sick Leave. Working together, tolerance and cooperation to make sure our neighborhoods continue to be affordable, safe, healthy, communities; I voted for strong, permanent tenant protections, transit funding for subways and buses, accessibilty and an environmental bond act to fight climate change. I have secured funding for education, $300 million to remove trailers as classrooms and funds for LaGuardia CC, NYCHA Queensbridge, Ravenswood and Astoria Houses, and youth programs in Ridgewood, Sunnyside, Astoria, Maspeth and LIC. It is a privilege to ask for your vote.
