Candidate Statement

I was raised by a single mother who remains my role model even today. I am the youngest of three brothers and I landed at JFK Airport 25 years ago as an undocumented dreamer. I grew up living in illegal housing, without health insurance and a deep Caribbean accent. I am proud to have worked at three City agencies over 10 years at some of the most senior levels. In these roles, I was able to implement policy, manage funding and develop legislative ideas to help our neighbors. Now, I want to use my government experience and community activism to unite our district and fight together. I would be honored to have your support. Let’s rise up and build the future.
