1. What is the most important issue in Council District 05 you would address if elected?

Development is out of control. As your Council Member, I will continue to advocate against the overdevelopment choking the Upper East Side & Roosevelt Island. As a member of the Environment & Sanitation Committee of CB8, I voted against the East 91st Street Marine Transfer Station because it will flood our neighborhoods with trucks and smog and harm our children. I have led the fight against wasteful public financing of private development on York Ave.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

Overdevelopment has robbed us of our open and green spaces. I want to build out the East River Esplanade and create other public areas. I will improve our quality of life, including placement of an NYPD precinct house on Roosevelt Island. I will bring greater transparency to government by keeping the community informed at all times. 3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

I will be independent. I have been a strong voice for residents and I have 20 years of public service experience. Most importantly, I am raising my family here. The issues I care about - overdevelopment, green space, transparency - directly impact the future for both my family and yours. I would be honored to have your vote for City Council.
