1. What is the most important issue in Council District 38 you would address if elected?

To enhance the Quality of Life in our community, which includes the development of affordable housing, senior assisted living residences and youth centers, attracting new industry to increase the number of jobs, improving the air quality and advocating the use of alternative fuels, stopping the proliferation of sex shops, strengthening police and community ties and supporting graffiti removal efforts.

 

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

To provide a venue to address immigrant concerns; develop our waterfront with parks and greenways, pursue the construction of the approved Sunset Park High School, and promote construction that preserves the character of our neighborhoods.

 

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

My deep faith, sense of integrity, respect for family values and love of service afford me the wisdom, strength and tenacity to never give up. I will be there for you. My experience as a volunteer advocate and participation with community boards, have made me keenly aware of issues that are of vital interest to the community. I believe that we have the same priorities. I have worked effectively with businesses, government representatives, community groups, police councils and fellow residents to resolve problems. Together we will create a greater sense of community for today, and forge a better future for tomorrow.
