Candidate Statement

I’m not a DC politician, I’m a small business owner from Brooklyn who’s seen first hand that our government is leaving people behind. I never planned on running for office but I’ve seen the problems in our communities and they’ve become too big to ignore. Our expert economists predict that a third of all American jobs will be lost to automation in the next 10 years, and in Brooklyn specifically, we have a massive affordable housing and rent problem. If our residents can barely afford rent how do we expect them to thrive? That’s why I’m proposing a UBI to give all Americans $1,000 a month which provides an economic floor and access to upward mobility, Housing Bonds to raise money for housing units, and making rent tax-deductible.
