Candidate Statement
My name is Sandra Choi. I am a progressive Democrat and a lifelong public servant with experience working at the intersection of community, public and private sector development.
Throughout my life, I've been responsible for navigating different worlds and bridging the gap between them. At 13, my first job was translating for patients and doctors at Elmhurst Hospital. I am the first in my family to attend college and graduate school. Within my profession, I've successfully implemented innovative economic reforms and produced results for the communities that I served.
I love Queens and I love my country. I am running for office because I believe it is worth fighting for and creating a more just, equitable and fair society for us all.
