Candidate Statement

I’m a proud nurse, tenant activist, and lifelong Brooklynite. In this public health crisis, we need leaders who can be trusted to fight for working people. As a registered nurse, I know that our healthcare system is broken. I will fight to make healthcare a human right by passing the NYHA, fully fund our hospitals, and make sure healthcare workers have the protective equipment they need. As a tenant activist, I will fight to end homelessness and pass universal rent control. As the proud daughter of Haitian immigrants, I’ve seen the climate crisis affect my family in Haiti. I will fight for 100% renewable energy by 2030 and to create green union jobs for all. I pledge to never accept any corporate or real estate money.
