Candidate Statement

Every New York family deserves safe neighborhoods, free from drugs, crime, and violence- that’s exactly why I’m running for Congress. I oppose closing Rikers Island, ending cash bail, and putting violent criminals back on our streets. I oppose defunding the police that would make our neighborhoods less safe and put our children in danger. That’s why I’m endorsed by the NYC Police Benevolent Association. I support creating good paying jobs, rebuilding our economy and have fought high taxes and tolls. When Superstorm Sandy hit, I rolled up my sleeves and got right to work helping families recover, standing up to the insurance companies and bureaucrats. In Congress, I’ll never stop fighting for Staten Island and southern Brooklyn.
