Candidate Statement

I bring to the Assembly my experience as an educator, disability rights attorney & community leader to advocating for education rights & social justice, budget & climate justice, sustainable transportation & energy, to combat climate change, sustain the MTA, women and children, voting & campaign finance reforms. Proud to pass legislation ensuring children and adults w/dyslexia get a fair shot at success in school and work, stemming the tide of assisted living closures, protecting women and people with disabilities in the workplace and higher ed, expanding voting access, combating gun violence (“Red Flag” law), closing the LLC Loophole, & more. If reelected, I'll continue working to ensure that every family has a fair shot at thriving in NY
