Candidate Statement
COVID-19 has presented our State with enormous challenges. While we have succeeded in flattening the curve we still face the possibility of a second wave. New York has also seen a significant drop in tax revenue and little aid from Washington. Having represented our community for the last 10 years, I believe I have the experience necessary to guide us through this crisis. As a member of the Health and Ways and Means committees I am familiar with the issues currently confronting our State. I also serve as Chair of the Cities Committee which will have significant input in shaping NYC’s future. If you continue to put your trust in me I will make sound policy decisions based on facts, science, and data and put our State on a course to recovery.
