Candidate Statement

Since getting elected in 2013 to represent the 25th Assembly District, I have focused on improving access to government services and fighting for key quality of life issues in Queens. In Albany, I am an outspoken advocate for working and middle-class families, immigrant communities, seniors, and students. I have sponsored and passed legislation expanding government transparency, strengthening the state’s workforce development system, modernizing voting rights, and protecting New York's environment, and pushed back against harmful federal policies as Chair of the Office of State-Federal Relations. As your Assemblywoman, I look forward to working side by side with Queens residents to be a strong voice in Albany on issues facing our community.
