Candidate Statement
I am running to become your next Assemblywoman in AD 87 because I care for the neediest and most vulnerable amongst us. I love our community. I am also the most qualified candidate in this race. I have been fighting for our community for a very long time – from the classroom to the offices of our locally elected officials, to City Hall, to Albany and all the way to the White House. I have been teaching and organizing in this community for twenty years. I have fought and will continue to fight to bring equal access to opportunity, real inclusion, educational justice, social justice, economic justice, environmental justice and political justice, vocational education and training, community empowerment and economic development in our district in order to foster a revitalization and rebirth in this part of the Bronx. On Thursday, September 13, 2018 – vote for a rising Assembly District 87 by voting for Farah Despeignes as your Assemblywoman. I will fight for you 24/7, 365 days a year.
