Guillermo A. Perez
I'm very proud to say I've had the opportunity in my life to work as a community organizer and human rights activist through my work with the LIONS Club International and local charity groups.
Professionally I've been closely involved in the housing sector but with a focus on maintaining sustainable, affordable housing. As a real estate management and housing coordinator I functioned as a liaison between landlords and tenants. I am also a former college professor and have worked in the NYC area including BCC and City College.
I studied Legal Studies at Bronx Community College and spent four years studying theology at the Westchester Bible Academy.
I was elected District Governor of the Lions Club International of the state of New York and Bermuda in 2015 and remain active with the group and its charitable functions.
I am an immigrant from the Dominican Republic who came here seeking a better life. I learned that through education, opportunity, and hard work a better life can be had by all. Since my arrival here in the States I have worked non-stop with political activism groups, community outreach programs and support organizations. I'm a proud father and American citizen who fights for the rights of the common person. I'll work tirelessly to improve our schools, make sure we can all have quality healthcare, and have opportunities to study and work. Come with me to Albany and join me in making our home a better place to live for all of us!
