Statements of Active Candidacy
2025 Citywide Elections: General
(For Participants Only)
The Certified Statement of Active Candidacy was enacted into law to ensure participating candidates who lose a primary election but are on the general election ballot on another party or independent line attest that they will continue to actively campaign for office to be eligible for public funds (see Administrative Code § 3-705(10) and Board Rule 3-01(d)(ii)(A)(7)). These candidates must demonstrate to the Campaign Finance Board that they are continuing to campaign in the general election by:
- submitting a Certified Statement of Active Candidacy,
- disclosing and documenting general election financial activity in a regularly scheduled disclosure statement, and
- providing other proof of active candidacy via supporting documentation.
Certified Statements of Active Candidacy submitted by candidates for this election are posted as Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) files, including supporting documentation, once they have been accepted on the merits. Click the links in the table below to view them.
