The CFB conducts a variety of training sessions to help campaigns comply with the rules, disclose their financial activity via C-SMART, and navigate the audit process.
The Candidate Services Unit is conducting all trainings virtually and will send invitations by email to registered attendees before each scheduled session below.
Per Admin. Code §3-703(15) and Board Rule 2-06, your campaign’s candidate, treasurer, or campaign manager must attend a Compliance and a C-SMART training by the final day of the 32 day pre-primary disclosure period. Refer to the Disclosure Deadlines page for specific deadlines by election cycle.
As best practice, we highly recommend that any campaign staff assisting with compliance matters and data entry attend CFB trainings.
To be eligible to receive any public funds payment, the candidate, treasurer, or campaign manager must complete a Compliance and C-SMART training at least 15 business days before the payment date.
