1. What is the most important issue in Council District 41 you would address if elected?

HIV AIDS in Council District 41 is the most pressing issue. Confronting the district resources an information is not funneling to the neediest in the District. Community based organizations and funding sources are being cut. The public is unaware of the crisis.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

Affordable Housing effects many residents of the 41 Council District. Homeownership is impossible for local residents due to sky rocketing prices. Homeowners charge high rents due to high mortgage payments. I will implement programs that will make public housing stock affordable to community residents. I am greatly concerned about high unemployment, lack of quality health care, senior services and no High School in the 41 Council District.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

As a life long member of the Oceanhill-Brownsvillle community I truly believe it takes a village to raise a child. I am a product of this village. I have extensive experience in city government and politics. I’ve been a long time advocate of the issues that confront our community. My goal is to unite members of our community to fight against poverty, economic injustice, inadequate eduation, affordable housing, gang violence and increase funding for senior programs. These issues are our common enemy. However, Together We Can Make A Difference. I have worked tirelessly, and will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the problems that plague our community are corrected.
