1. What is the most important issue in Council District 36 you would address if elected?

My number one priority as Council Member of the 36th District is, and would be, to support and strengthen the community institutions and organizations that serve the people of our neighborhood. Whether it be schools, senior centers or community development organizations, maintaining and increasing the strength of our community's institutions and organizations will ensure the health of our community.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

While there are many other important issues to address, I believe some of the more important ones include providing educational and employment opportunities for community residents, continuing to increase the amount of affordable housing available for our community, and preventing homeowners from falling into foreclosure.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

As a lifelong resident shaped by our neighborhood, I have a proven track record representing our community and putting the needs of the community first. My experience, relationships and accomplished respect in government will allow our community to continue to receive extraordinary resources that are not available to other communities. In addition, there is important work in our community that I have begun during my years in the City Council and I would cherish the opportunity to complete and ensure success for these initiatives. For these reasons and more, I believe I am the best candidate to represent our community in the City Council.
