Candidate Statement

I'm immensely proud to call Southern Brooklyn my home. Born and raised in Bay Ridge, I have spent almost my entire career working in and for my community. From starting a neighborhood non-profit in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy to actively organizing on issues such as pedestrian safety and mass transit improvements, as well as speaking out forcefully in defense of immigrant communities. I want to bring funding back to schools and subways, make our streets safe for pedestrians, and protect our working families from unfair taxes and rent increases. There is a direct link between what happens in Albany and what happens in Southern Brooklyn. I am a proven community organizer with a record of service in District 22 and no one will fight harder for working people, immigrants, and other communities that need champions than me.
