Candidate Statement

I am a proud Democrat seeking to obtain the 80th Assembly seat in this Special Election.

My parents, both immigrants, have taught me the value of hard work and honesty. Through my experience as Assemblyman Gjonaj's Chief of Staff and as the Bronx Regional Representative for Governor Cuomo, I have learned to listen to my constituents in order to understand what they need most. I look forward to serving my fellow community members, not for some illusion of power, but because the change needed in this community can only come about through someone who is both experienced and visionary.

We need more funding in education, affordable healthcare for every New Yorker, and a housing plan that works. The Bronx Democratic Party, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr, Councilman Gjonaj, Senator Klein, 1199 SEIU, 32BJ SEIU and others have endorsed my candidacy. With your support, we can make the change we want to see.
