Candidate Statement

With 20 years of public service as a community activist behind me, I'm proud to say that we have accomplished a lot such as raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour and reforming our bail system but we still have a ways to go. As your State Assemblywoman, I will work to ensure we see the funds that are promised so NYCHA residents can get the necessary repairs and holding bad landlords accountable. I will work to ensure access to employment and housing as the recently incarcerated return to our community. I will work to ensure we get a clear answer on what affordable housing is and what it looks like for our community, so we can stay and live in affordable housing. I would be honored to be your State Assemblywoman!
