Candidate Statement

As Assemblywoman, I build coalitions to stand up for working families, enact progressive policies, and address issues that affect us all. During my 17 years working on state-legislation, I've fought for economic justice through strong consumer protections; advocated for permanent and deeply affordable housing for all; insisted on safe, harassment-free workplaces; protected immigrant communities and small businesses; and passed bold reforms to our criminal justice and campaign finance systems. I will continue these fights by expanding my work on the historic tenant protections with the good-cause eviction bill, address the existential crisis of climate change, and deliver the funding our public schools and housing are owed and deserve.
