Third #FilingDay of 2017
2017’s third #FilingDay results are in! Queens Borough President Melinda Katz and Queens Council Member Daniel Dromm are the new leaders in the cumulative small contributor count for the 2017 election cycle. As of the July 15th #FilingDay, Katz reported contributions from 150 different NYC residents of $175 or less. Dromm, situated at a close second, reported collecting small contributions from 137 New Yorkers.
While Katz and Dromm lead in the cumulative count, Bronx Council Member Ritchie Torres and Public Advocate Letitia James reported the strongest small dollar fundraising effort for the third disclosure period. Torres reported collecting small dollar support from 119 contributors, while James reported 118 such supporters.
This was the third disclosure period in the 2017 election cycle. All candidates for city office were required to disclose all campaign finance activity for the period between January 12 and July 11, 2015 to the CFB by midnight, July 15.
