Handbooks and Training

Candidates need to learn and understand the rules of the Campaign Finance Program. The CFB produces a campaign finance handbook before each major election to guide campaigns with the compliance standards the CFB enforces. The 2009 Campaign Finance Handbook is now available! You can pick up your copy of the 2009 handbook at your next training, view it on this website, or download it as a searchable PDF to your own computer. The handbook contains vital information for all campaigns, whether or not they plan to participate in the matching funds program. If you are a candidate, treasurer, or campaign worker, you need to get your copy of the 2009 handbook right away!

The Candidate Services Unit (CSU) offers both compliance seminars and C-SMART software trainings throughout the year. To be eligible for public funds, at least one person from the campaign in a position of authority must attend a compliance training. Candidates and treasurers are strongly urged to attend at least one of these trainings as well. Check the training calendar frequently as it is periodically updated with new training dates.
