Candidates and Prospective Candidates

The information you need to run for office and work with the Campaign Finance Board can be found in the sections to your left. Each tab offers different links, depending on whether you are just starting out, already campaigning, or need additional information.

• I’m a Candidate – If you’ve formed a committee and registered with the Board of Elections and the CFB, you’re ready to move forward with raising money and providing campaign finance disclosure as required by city law. Under this tab, you will find the forms, manuals, and information you need to run your campaign as a participant, limited participant, or non-participant in the Campaign Finance Program.
• I’m Thinking About Running – If you haven't set up your committee yet, look under I’M THINKING ABOUT RUNNING to learn how to get started setting up your campaign in accordance with city and state election law.
• Campaign Finance Law – This tab provides links to the Campaign Finance Act, Board Rules, Advisory Opinions, and Final Determinations made by the Board.
• Additional Resources – here you will find submission information for the official New York City Voter Guide and links that you may find helpful.
